Who We Are

East End Speech Therapy is a private speech-language pathology practice operated by Alexis Dillon, M.Sc., SLP(C), a CASLPO-registered Speech-Language Pathologist serving families in the Beaches, Upper Beaches, Birch Cliff, and surrounding East Toronto communities.

Information We Collect

When you submit a form on this website, we may collect:

  • Your name and email address
  • Your child's name and age
  • Your phone number
  • Information about your child's speech and language concerns

This information is considered personal health information (PHI) under Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).

How We Store Your Information

Form submissions are processed through our website hosting provider (Netlify). Information is transferred to our secure practice records as part of the intake process. We retain personal health information in accordance with PHIPA requirements and CASLPO record-keeping standards (minimum 10 years from last contact for adult clients, or 10 years after the client turns 18 for minors).

Your Rights

Under PHIPA, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal health information or your child's information
  • Request corrections to your records
  • Withdraw consent for the collection or use of your information (subject to legal exceptions)
  • File a complaint with the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario
